Delta Central 2023: Onome Declares Intension To Run For Senate

Ahead of the forthcoming general election, a frontline aspirant under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Evang. (Mrs), Hephzibah Onome Oluwadare, over the weekend declared her intension to the executive of the PDP, at Ward 6 and 10 Kokori in Ethiope East LGA, Delta State to run for the Delta Central Senatorial seat come 2023.
Mrs. Onome Oluwadare who made her intension known to the executive of the party at Ward 6 and 10 at Kokori said: “I am here today to formally inform you that l am contesting for the seat of Delta Central district under the big umbrella of PDP, and we know that PDP is the party of hope where dividends of democracy could be guaranteed,”
“And precisely l am your sister, you are my brothers, that is why, l said let me start the race first at my home. l need your support, and this time around, this is the time for women to take over the position.”

Continuing, she said: “l am not just in the race, but l am in the race to better the lives of our people if given the mandate, come 2023 to represent the good people of Delta Central at the red chamber,” Mrs. Oluwadare assured.
However, on their part, the chairman of PDP Ward 6, Chief Felix Oniakukor and chairman of PDP Ward 10 in Egbo, Mr. Alex Omoraka, commended the Delta Central Senatorial hopeful for the step she has taken so far to contest for the position of the Delta Central Senatorial seat.
“We will support you to become the Senator to represent the people of Delta Central, come 2023. All you need to do is to work according to the guidelines of the party, and we are just Ward executive. You will also consult the leaders and the elders of the party so as to actualize your dream of becoming the Senator to represent the people of Delta Central, come 2023.”
They however, prayed for success for her and urged her to go about her consultation peacefully, adding that the party is solidly behind her.
