JUST IN: Late General Obada’s Wife Is Dead

Dr. (Mrs.) Abiola Reffell Obada, wife of Late Major General Orho Esio Obada, has reportedly passed on, Niger Delta Today reports.
She died on Saturday February 19, almost two years after the demise of her husband.
General Obada, who hailed from Agbarho, Delta State, was a former Federal Commissioner for Works and member of the Supreme Military Council.
He also acted as Chief of Air Staff (COAS) from 1970 to 1971.
The late Obada later served as the commissioner representing Delta State in the Federal Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission in 2006.
Born on April 4, 1939, he died June 13, 2020 after a brief illness.
One of the children, Mr. Oghenebrume Segun Obada, confirmed the death of their mother in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
He said the late General’s wife died on Saturday February 19th.
“I most humbly announce to the passing unto glory of my mother Doctor Mrs Abiola Reffell Obada wife of late Major General Orho Esio Obada which sad event took place on the 19th of February, 2022”, he said.
He, however, added that the burial ceremony for the late Mrs. Obada “has been fixed for the 3rd and 4th of March 2022.”
