APC Removes Femi Fani-Kayode’s Name From Publicity Convention Committee List

It is no longer news that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled its national convention for the 26th of March, 2022.
Yesterday, the convention committee led by the APC caretaker committee chairman, Governor Sani Bello, zoned the party’s executive tickets to different geopolitical zones in the country. For the chairmanship position, it went to the north-central region of Nigeria.
One shocking development that also occurred yesterday was the omission of the name of former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode. During the tenure of Mai Mala Buni as Caretaker Committee Chairman, Femi Fani-Kayode name was listed as one of the members of the Convention Publicity Committee. The committee was headed by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Sources said the APC might have removed the name of Femi Fani-Kayode due to the new leadership at the helms of affairs in the party.
Adding that if Mai Mala Buni continued as APC acting National Chairman, he could have retained Femi Fani-Kayode because they are close and it was Buni who took Fani-Kayode to meet President Muhammadu Buhari when the latter defected to APC last year.
