DELSU Matriculates 7,569 Students For 2021/2022 Academic Session

No fewer than 7, 569 students have been offered provisional admission into various departments of Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, out of the 24, 233 candidates who applied for admission to the institution.
Disclosing this on Saturday at Abraka during the matriculation ceremony for the 2021/2022 academic session, Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Andy Egwunyenga, added that of those admitted, the Faculty of Education got the highest with 1,412, while the Faculty of Clinical Sciences got the lowest with 54.
He also hinted that 63 candidates were offered admission into the Continuing Education Programme (CEP), 748 into the New Diploma programme, 38 into the Intensive/Part-time programme and 69 into the Diploma Programme of the Institute of Education..

In his address, Prof. Egwunyenga warned that any student involved in cultism, examination malpractices and other anti-social vices would be thrown out, stressing that the matriculation ceremony was a universal academic tradition and a requirement in higher institutions.
Highpoint of the ceremony was the administration of the matriculation oath on the new intakes.
