10th Coronation Anniversary: DELSU VC Salutes Umiaghwa-Abraka Monarch

Vice-Chancellor, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Delta State, Professor Andy Egwunyenga, has congratulated the Ovie of Umighwa-Abraka Kingdom in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state, HRM (AVM) Lucky Ochuko Ararile, Avwaeke 1, on the 10th anniversary of his ascension to the throne.
Professor Egwunyenga in a statement on Saturday, commended the monarch for his selfless service to his people and for promoting peace and unity in the kingdom.
The VC noted that the excited mammoth crowd that graced His Majesty’s coronation anniversary on Saturday attests to the fact that the Umiaghwa-Abraka people are proud of him been their king.

According to the statement, after several dealings with the monarch since he became VC, he can authoritatively say that the traditional ruler is a pacesetter and an outstanding king in Urhobo land and stands tall amongst monarchs in the state and beyond.
“On behalf of staff and students of the Delta State University, Abraka, I warmly felicitate with HRM (AVM) Lucky Ochuko Ararile, Avwaeke 1 on his 10th coronation anniversary.
“I join the people of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom in celebrating His Royal Majesty,” the statement said.
Continuing; he said: “As a bastion of culture and tradition, Avwaeke 1 has played significant role in the promotion of harmony among his people and their neighbours.”
He also thanked the people of Umighwa-Abraka for reposing confidence on the monarch as well as giving him the needed support and cooperation in the past ten years on the throne.
“We pray that the Almighty God will continue to give you good health and wisdom to pilot the traditional affairs of your kingdom and offer valuable contributions to the development of the university town of Abraka in particular and Delta State in general,” Egwunyenga added.
