DELSU Opens Integrated Data Centre, Assures Graduates Of 24-Hour Collection Of Transcripts

Vice-Chancellor, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Professor Andy Egwunyenga, has assured graduates of the institution that the era of experiencing difficulties in accessing their transcripts is now a thing of the past.

of the DELSU Integrated Data Centre (DIDC) as part of programmes lined up to celebrate the institution’s 30th anniversary, said that his administration took the bold step to tackle the problem of collection of transcripts and other related issues in the university, adding that DELSU in collaboration with Lagos State University (LASU) birthed the integrated data centre.

“We had an exchange of ideas and technology with LASU and with the help of our committed DIDC team led by Professor Festus Arunaye, the project came to fruition,” he said.

According to him, the services of DIDC include digitalization of transcripts, developing of robust e-result engine, digitalization of Bursary services, digitalization of University Registry, digitizing of the University Library and developing a robust e-desk customer service system.

He continued: “This is something that was developed in the last 6 months. We put in all our effort, energy and resources to make sure that we deliver. Like I said, it us up and ready.

“Aside from helping to put to rest the transcript crisis, it will also help to improve our innovative profile.”

Earlier, Director of DIDC, Professor Arunaye, while commending Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Professor Egwunyenga for supporting his team in accomplishing the task, said graduates of DELSU can now get their transcript in less than 24 hours after they apply and meet the requirements.

He urged graduates of DELSU to withdraw their court cases since hurdles in collecting their transcripts hava been dealt with.
