Adding: “However, during these consultations, our Principal has been genuinely advised and his attention drawn to the fact that the Party, the APC can not wish that the Gubernatorial & Senatorial tickets be given to the same Constituency, to wit: Constituency 1, in Ughelli North LGA, in the same political Party, the APC, at the same time. This makes a hitherto realizable task difficult, not mindful of the resources that is deployable into the race.
“In view of this, our Principal who has been so advised, has withdrawn from the 2023 APC Senatorial ticket race.”
Furthermore, he thanked all party leaders/ members and the general public for their support.
