JUST IN: Former UNIBEN VC, Godwin Oshodin Is Dead

A former Vice-Chancellor of University of Benin, UNIBEN, emeritus Professor Osayuki Godwin Oshodin is dead.

A statement announcing the demise of Prof. Oshodin, which was signed by his brother on behalf of the family and made available to newsmen in Benin, said the former UNIBEN VC died in the early hours of Sunday, at the age of 71.

Until his death, Oshodin was a a professor of Health Education.

The statement reads in part: “It is a time of grief for us children, and family as we mourn his sudden death.

“Kindly be informed that , the family shall in no distant time release details of his burial arrangement just as we pray God to comfort those he left behind in this period of our mourning.”
