BREAKING: SDP Candidate, Oni Withdraws From Ekiti Guber Race, Asks Supporters To Vote For PDP
The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Engr. Segun Oni has withdrawn from today’s governorship election in Ekiti State, southwest Nigeria.
This online news platform understands that Segun Oni announced his withdrawal through a statement he personally signed and released a few hours before the commencement of the governorship election which is slated later today, Saturday, June 18, 2022.

Newsone Nigeria reports that Oni, a former Governor of Ekiti State, said he was withdrawing from the Ekiti election 2022 race due to the ongoing legal and leadership battle rocking the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
In his withdrawal statement, the SDP candidate directed his supporters to vote for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, Bisi Kolawole in today’s Ekiti governorship election.
