Wabote And DSS' Witnesses Absence In Court Stalls Ogidi's Trial

The absence of the witnesses of the Department of State Services (DSS) and Engr. Simbi Kesyi Wabote who are the prosecution / complainant in the case against Hon. Ogidi Ben Bara, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Track News Nigeria, has put a pause to the ongoing court trial.

Having informed the court about the absence of their witnesses when the matter came up for hearing on Monday 25th July, 2022, the presiding judge of the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Hon. Justice Isa Dashen, was constrained to adjourn the case at the instance of the prosecution to the 1st of November, 2022.

Speaking with Track News Nigeria after the court session, a media aide to Hon. OBB said that his principal has no choice but to accept the ruling of his Lordship, adjourning the adjourning the case, adding that the DSS acted like quacks.

According to Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed,

“We have no choice but to accept what the court said but in my opinion, the DSS are quacks. They are just looking for ways to delay the trial of the frivolous charges brought against an innocent man. No matter what, the truth shall prevail and we will win.”
