Senator Henry Seriake Dickson under the Restoration Government reformed the State Civil Service Commission by conducting credible and transparent noverification exercises to fish out illegal workers from the Commission with the sole purpose of reducing the State’s wage bill and improving workers welfare which tremendously transformed the Commission first in the history of the State since creation.

The Restoration Government led by Senator Henry Seriake Dickson leaving no stone unturned also conducted transparent workers verification exercises in various Local Government Areas across the State, in order to fish out ghost workers with the sole purpose of improving and transforming the Commission for better workers welfare and infrastructure performance of the Councils.

Reforming and restructuring the State and Local Government Civil Service Commissions by the Restoration Government led by Senator Dickson tremendously transformed the Commissions which reduced the wage bill to a large extent creating the avenue for major infrastructural projects in various Local Government Councils.

The Senator Douye Diri led Prosperity Government commissioned major projects completed by Local Government Council Chairmen in their respective Local Government Areas in the State; accrediting the Council Chairmen’s performance and projects to the Prosperity Government instead of commending the Restoration Government led by Senator Henry Seriake Dickson for reforming the Local Government Service Commission.

Governor Douye Diri’s insincerity and untruthfulness in delivering good governance to the people of the state and beyond is quite disheartening which is a clear indication of incompetence in governance without any remarkable achievement in two years plus, despite the huge revenue received in 2020 and 2021 respectively, amounting to five hundred and twenty nine billion naira (529,000.000.000.00).

“It is important to note that most Council Chairmen couldn’t embark on major infrastructural projects as a result of the huge wage bill in their respective councils caused by ghost workers and other discrepancies which greatly affected the performance of almost every Council Chairman before the reforms.

Gov. Diri’s deliberate actions of painting the Restoration Government in bad picture to the general public taking full responsibility of laudable achievements of the Restoration Government led by Senator Dickson, as a result of the Governor’s inability to carry out socio-economic projects since resumption in office, despite the huge allocation coming to the State.

“If there is anyone that should be applauded for the tremendous performance of Local Government Council Chairmen should be Senator Dickson, who transformed the Local Government Service Commission to improve workers welfarism and better performance.

It is no longer news that Gov. Diri is only good at deliberately claiming the laudable achievements of the immediate past administration, the Restoration Government mostly in terms of infrastructure with the primary motive of running down the previous administration ascribing laudable achievements of the Restoration Government to the Prosperity Government.

“It is important to note that almost all the projects commissioned by the Prosperity Government led by Senator Douye Diri since resumption in office are laudable projects initiated and completed by the Restoration Government led by Senator Henry Seriake Dickson before leaving office.

Gov. Diri and well-meaning Bayelsans should applaud Senator Dickson for reforming and restructuring the Local Government Service Commission first in the history of the State, with the primary objective of reducing the wage bill of the Local Government Councils in order to enable the Council Chairmen to improve workers welfarism and embark on infrastructural projects plus human capital development programs in the State.
