Ivwurie has pitched his tent with Olorogun David Edevbie and has been an outspoken commentator on the Oborevwori result saga.
In a statememt made available to Oasis Magazine, Evang Ofomona opined that the said loyalists to Okowa from the university community are not speaking the minds of Abraka community to Okowa.
He added: “Chief Evance Iwurie, a former house of Assembly member that represented Ethiope East reserves right to his own opinion on the person of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa. I am therefore of the view that Evance Iwhurie should not be bullied by anybody.”
According to him, the Okowa appointees are doing what is right by protecting their boss, Okowa the incumbent governor, saying that they should leave Evance Iwurie alone to his own opinion on Okowa.
He continued: “For your information they were colleagues at the state exco. If you forget this and he sees anything wrong, Evance is free and so I advice the Abraka Okowa fans or supporters to leave our beloved brother Evance Iwhurie to his own opinion and should not be disowned by the said self acclaimed lovers of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa more than any other person’s in our community, Abraka.”
