BREAKING: Popular Delta Monarch, Johnson Duku Is Dead

The Orovweorere of Effurun-Otor Kindgom, in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM Dr. Johnson Duku (JP), RDN 11, is dead.

He died on the 16th of October, 2022.

The death of the monarch was announced by a town crier in the kingdom on the 18th of October.

Barrister Tuedor Jackson took to to his Facebook page to mourn the monarch.

He posted: “Rest in perfect Peace my King!
HRM Johnson E.Y. Duku JP, the Orovworere of Effurun-Otor kingdom.
You will be sorely missed!
What a life!! Life is but a fleeting glance, indeed nothing lasts for ever!”

The palace is expected to break the news in at least two weeks.

The monarch would have clocked seven years on the throne in November.

The late monarch celebrated his 70th birthday in March this year.
