NLC To Chris Ngige: Withdraw Registration Certificates Given To CONUA, NAMDA
The controversy surrounding the registration of two new academic unions, the Congress of Nigerian University Academics (CONUA), and Nigeria Association of Medical and Dental Academics (NAMDA), by the Federal Government, deepened on Saturday, 8th October 2022, as the Nigeria Labour Congress, demanded the immediate withdrawal of the registration certificates given to the two new academic unions.
According to NLC, the registration of the unions can’t stand because it contravened the laws, which had been tested and affirmed by the Industrial Court of Nigeria, the Appeal Court and Supreme Court.
