She was born in Sapele, Delta State, Nigeria and hails from Koko, Warri North Local government area. Her father maternally hails from Oria, Abraka while her mother is from Sapele. She is married to Dr. (Barr.) Hon. Gaga W. Ekakitie and the union is blessed with three children.
