Ohanaeze Ndigbo Places $50,000 Bounty On Simon Ekpa, Says He’s Enemy Of Ndigbo
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has placed a $50,000 reward for anyone who can give vita information that would lead to the arrest of Simon Ekpa.
Guardian Nigeria reported that the organization claimed to have uncovered plans by people who are the “enemies of Ndigbo” to hire the self-acclaimed Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa to instigate attacks, disrupt the electoral process and make sure the voting strength of the South East region is lessened in the forthcoming general election.

In a statement made by the Secretary General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, on Monday, the 23rd of January, 2023, the Ndigbo alleged that Simon Ekpa is working for an unnamed presidential candidate as he is one of their strategies.
Ohanaeze also claimed that Ekpa is shielding himself with his Finnish citizenship to wreck havoc in the South East and evade arrest.
The statement read in part.
“Ndigbo has placed a bounty reward of $50,000 for anyone who has useful information on how Simon Ekpa will be apprehended for his extradition and prosecution in Nigeria, to answer the law of the land over his criminalities, incitements of violent killings and burning of public properties in the name of self-determination.”
The statement also read that all Igbos at home and in the diaspora should be devoted to the task of preserving and rescuing the Southeast, and also be willing to assist in the arrest of the worsening insecurity challenges, the dwindling of the economic and social activity which is as a result of Simon Ekpa’s ranting and illegal sit-at-home.
The group further declared Simon Ekpa as the “number one adversary and enemy of Ndigbo who Ndigbo had caught sight of in the last 200 years”.
