Abia: Gunmen Kidnap LP Rep-elect, Ginger Onwusibe

The newly elected Honourable member of the House of Representatives under Labour Party of Nigeria in Abia state, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe has been allegedly abducted by gunmen suspected to be DSS operatives in Abuja.
His abduction was confirmed in a Facebook post made by a former ally of governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state, Ubani Danni.
According to Ubani, hooded men suspected to be operatives of Department of State Service (DSS) waylaid and whisked him away as he was making his way out of INEC office, where he had earlier joined his colleagues to receive certificates of return.
Ubani said, “Abia State Government has effected the arrest of Hon. Ginger Onwusibe by hooded men believed to be operatives of DSS.
“Ginger Onwusibe whose only sin his advocacy for good governance was waylaid and whisked away as he was making his way out of INEC office, where he had earlier joined his colleagues, the newly elected members of the Federal House of Representatives.
“This is one of the many illegal strategies of this thieving shameless Abia State Government to psychologically intimidate supporters of Labour Party and to keep Ginger Onwusibe out of circulation in other for them to rig the gubernatorial election.
“By this information, all lovers of freedom and good governance are employed to join the crusade #FreeGingerNow”
