Gunmen Kidnap Lagos Based Philanthropist, Ikechukwu Ebelebe, In Imo
A multi-millionaire and philanthropist based in Lagos, Mr. Ikechukwu Simeon Ebelebe was kidnapped in his hometown, Owerre-Akokwa in Ideato-North Local Government Area of Imo State over the weekend.
He was said to have gone home for village meetings when the incident happened.
The victim who also is the CEO of Divine-Iyke PLC Lagos, is said to own a foundation that cares for the elderly and the needy in the south eastern part of Nigeria.
His foundation’s name is “Divine Iyke Foundation for Humanity.”
Symphatisers have since taken to the social media to appeal for his release, saying he is a good man and does not deserve such treatment from his people.
