Engr Chief Akpomedaye Steven, State Director of Civil Society in the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Delta State and Hon Mitaire Oserivwoja, State Assistant Auditor both of Ethiope East local Government, have said that the 2023 governorship candidate of the party in the state, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi came to destroy the party.
Speaking to newsmen on Friday in separate interviews, Chief Akpomedaye Steven narrated how Olorogun Gbagi came to SDP wanting to hijack it, adding that he sidelined the entire party leaders in In the state and ran SDP Delta State as a personal company.
He continued: “He took over the party office in Asaba, deceived LGA Chairmen, State Exco and members.”
According to him, “Gbagi refused to mobilize any SDP leaders for the election.”
“During campaigns, he did direct anti party, boasting that he has the national in his pocket This time around, he has gone to tribunal on his own. SDP Delta State is not aware nor with him.
We are Party LEADERS and believe in our Party but we shall not allow in anyo, even let alone Gbagi to take us for a ride.

“No matter the blackmail or intimidation we won’t relent,” he added.
On his part, Oserivwoja said: “You cannot build something on nothing..You cannot ride with SDP when you don’t believe in us. You could not pay agents on election day. You are selfish and self centered. Nobody is bigger than SDP. You are on your own Gbagi,” he said.
