Flood Overshadows Parts Of Uvwie/Warri

Some areas in Warri South and Uvwie Local Government Areas were overshadowed by flood as the time of filing this report.
No thanks to the regular evening downpour since last weekend.
Areas such as Alaka, Jakpa Road Aka Avenue, Refinery Road among others in Uvwie Local Government Area.
Ginuwa by JJC , Mowoe Road , Arigbe , Link Road by Cinema Site among others were over shadowed by flood at as the time of going to press.

Those that spoke to our correspondent on the issue appealed for quick government intervention .
One of them, High Chief Hope Akasa who commended former Governor Okowa for his massive drainage projects in the kingdom, painfully noted that the Alaka Area, Effurun was still bedeviled by the issue of flooding.
While calling on government to prevail on the contractor handling the drainage problem project to return to site, he noted that areas blocked by the drainage construction, were the causes of the flood problem in the area.
Another respondent, the President of Okere Urhobo Development Movement, Comrade Brume Eyekpimi reasoned that a massive carnal construction project in the link road in the area will solve the problem.
