The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Samuel Wanosike, made the disclosure to Commissioner of Police during a stakeholders’ meeting on the activities of vigilante operatives in Rivers held in Port Harcourt last Thursday.
Mr Wanosike complained that the suspect was arrested for murder last year, but he was mysteriously released from police custody.
It is was gathered that the suspect was arrested last week Wednesday and is in custody of one of the Police tactical units in Port Harcourt.
But following the complain by the Local Government Chairman, CP Emeka inquired from members of his management team in the meeting where the suspect was being kept.
However, the Rivers Police Commission did not make the information public at the meeting.
