Umu Ezhionum Forum Awards Scholarship To Six Students
A community based non-governmental organisation, Umu Ezhionum Forum has awarded scholarships to six deserving indigenes of the community.
The event was held in the community town hall.
The Forum is a community based non-governmental organisation whose mandate is centered on training and empowering indigent skilled workers, awarding scholarships to students etc.
Speaking during the event, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Dr. Vincent Ojeh, a lecturer with Taraba State University, emphasised on the value that comes with such awards, noting that scholarships are marks of excellent performance.

He urged the recipients to see it as motivation to step up in their academic pursuit.
The President of the organisation, Mr. Agu Otunuya congratulated the recipients, just as he admonished them to put what they received into judicious use.
Members who made remarks during the event include, the convener of the group Mr. Enudi Diamond, Hon. Udoka Anigala of the Councillors of the community, Mr. Chukwuemeke Victor fondly called Mr. Due Process.and Comrade Emeke Okolo.
Chief Osakwe who spoke on behalf of the parents, commended the leadership and members of the group for embarking on such noble initiative.
He noted that investing in education is one of the best decisions any individual or government could invest in.
