Group Hails NDDC’s Plan To Create 10000 Jobs For Youths In N-Delta
Stakeholders from oil and gas producing communities in Niger Delta have given total support to the laudable plan by management of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC to create 10000 jobs for youths in the region.
The stakeholders who are members of a pro-Niger Delta advocacy group, known as Niger Delta Oil Communities Agenda (NIDOCA), in a statement on Thursday in Ughelli, Delta State, commended the NDDC for positive initiative.

In the statement issued by its Director, Media and Publicity, Pastor Emma Akpovoka, the group said, ” We commend the Managing Director of NDDC, Mr. Sam Ogbuku and entire management of NDDC for the laudable initiative to empower and create jobs for 10000 youths across the member states.”
“We also advise the NDDC to ensure that youths from oil producing and impacted communities are given utmost priority. The people in the oil producing and impacted communities suffers the hazard of oil exploration, therefore, a high percentage of the 10000 jobs should be reserved for youths from the host communities.”
” The Project Hope initiative and proposal by the management of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC to create about 10,000 jobs for youths across the Niger Delta region is commendable and should be supported by stakeholders in the region.”
“We urge Sam Ogbuku and management of NDDC, to remain focus and initiate more people-oriented policies that will directly benefit the oil producing and impacted communities in the region.”
The group which had appreciated President Bola Tinubu for retaining Ogbuku as Chief Executive of NDDC, further noted that it was time focuses on the oil bearing communities in the region.
