BREAKING: Robbers Invade Female Hostel In Rivers Varsity, Rape Students, Cart Away Gadgets

Daredevil robbers on Wednesday night invaded a female hostel of the Rivers State University to rob and rape female students.

The robbers are said to have attacked the famous Hostel D and carted away phones, laptops and other gadgets.

Many female students were also put through physical and sexual abuses by the robbers.

According to some of the victims, the robbers stormed the hostel around 1.40 am and robbed till 2.20am.

The incident led to a heavy protest in the school on Thursday morning with the students baring placards with varying inscriptions.

A victim who anonymously shared her experience on social media, said;

“We made calls to the school security but as usual they did not show up until 20 minutes after the operation.

“Doors were marched open. Thick male voices echoing down the hallway announcing terror. Resistance was met with gunshots. Phones and laptops were carted away

“A young boy in his early twenties or so, in clean white shirt and shorts was on the lookout for the robbers. He stood in the space between hostel C and D.

“Alas it was a successful robbery,” the victim added.

The incident has been greeted with widespread condemnation with many questioning the whereabouts of the school security personnel throughout the duration of the operation.
