Lagos Police Foil Robbery In Ajegunle
..Arrest Suspects, Recover Arm, Ammunition

The Lagos State Police Command, following a series of public complaints about armed robbery incidents along Layeni Ojo Road, Ajegunle, have arrested two suspects in the early hours of April 28, 2025 at about 0630hrs.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Ikeja, disclosed this on Tuesday.
The suspects, who were arrested by operatives of Layeni Division, are Azeez Anofi ‘m’ aged 25, a.k.a. Stainless and Damilare Obadia ‘m’, aged 25, had attempted to snatch a tricycle, popularly known as Keke Marwa.

Following the arrest, one locally made pistol and one expended cartridge were recovered from the suspects.
Further investigation has commenced to arrest other suspects and recover other operational weapons.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, while commending the swift response of the officers, urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police for appropriate action. .
