NUJ Delta Election: Ikeogwu Inaugurates Credentials Screening Committee
Ahead of the October 6, 2023 Delta State NUJ Council election, a 5-man planning and credentials screening committee was on Wednesday 9th of August, 2023 inaugurated by the State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu at the NUJ Secretariat, Asaba.
Those inaugurated were, Comrades Christian Ogor of Ika Correspondents Chapel as Chairman and Nelson Agbajor of Sapele Correspondents Chapel as Secretary.

Other members of the Committee include, Victor Okis Okpomo of Warri Correspondents Chapel, Emmanuel Ekebe of Isoko Correspondents Chapel and Felix Evwihor of State Information Chapel.
Addressing the Committee members during an enlarged state congress, the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, tasked the Committee to discharge their duties with utmost diligence and avoid anything that would extend the election beyond October 6 date.
He used the medium to appeal to journalists in the State and contestants as well to assist the Committee to achieving their mandate by showing positive support and cooperation that would usher in a new administration in Delta State NUJ.
Comrade Ikeogwu urged members of the pen profession to avoid occasions of unnecessary petitions against candidates and allow peace and harmony to rule the context for the greater benefit to all journalists.
Responding on behalf of the Committee, the Chairman of the Committee, Comrade Christian Ogor, appreciated the congress in- session for finding them worthy to serve the Union.
He pleaded for the cooperation of all for the Committee to deliver a credible state NUJ election that everyone would applaud at the end of exercise.
