BECE Resit Examination To Hold Saturday

Delta State Government, has reminded candidates in the 2023 in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), that the resit examination will hold on Saturday, September 16.

A statement from the Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Oghoro indicated that the resit examination would be conducted in the designated examination centres across the state.

The statement explained that the resit examination was for only JSS 3 candidates who could not pass compulsory subjects such as English language or Mathematics in the results that were released and had registered for the result examination.

Oghoro in the statement noted that registration was still ongoing and urged the affected candidates to register to enable them write the examination.

It reiterated the Ministry’s determination of ensure smooth conduct of examinations, adding that the Ministry was prepared with adequate human and material resources for the conduct of the resit examination.

The statement further said that officials of the Ministry would carry out routine monitoring of the conduct of the examination.
