Kano State’s Community Policing Success: 43 More Rival Thugs Embrace Peace
In Kano State, 43 members of rival thug groups from Goburawa-Gangare and Tudun Fulani Quarters of Ungogo LGA have surrendered to the police, bringing the total number of repentant thugs to 143.
These groups had engaged in violent conflicts for over five years, resulting in harm to citizens and property damage.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Gumel commended the state government’s support for community policing and urged everyone to work together to ensure sustainable peace and security in Kano State, offering a bounty for information leading to the arrest of two notorious criminals.
