“His Passing Leaves Behind A Large Void”: Okowa Mourns Akeredolu

Former Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa has mourned the death of the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu.
Akeredolu died on Wednesday at 67 after a protracted illness.

Okowa in a post on X, said: “Though from different parties, while he served as Chairman of the Southern Governors Forum, I had the privilege to work closely and witness the brilliance and dedication of the late Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN).”
He continued: “Today, his passing leaves behind a large void; as his brilliant mind, his tenacious spirit, and his ability to organize his colleagues were often unmatched and under-appreciated.”
“As the people of Ondo State mourn the passing of their Governor, my family and I mourn the passing of a leader who rose through the ranks and died in the service of his state,” the former governor added.
