Ethiope East Council Chairman Warns Against Illegal Collection Of Revenue
Prior to the expiration of the contractual engagement between Ethiope East Local Government management and some contractors on Tenement Revenue, motor Parks, etc which elapsed 31st December, 2023, the Executive Chairman, Rt Hon Pharm Ofobrukueta Victor has warned against incessant collection of revenue by those he described as unscrupulous elements who are defrauding members of the public, parading themselves as revenue collectors to deviate from such ill act or face the wrath of the law.
Secretary of the local government, Hon Edesiri Ray Aganbi, said this in a statement on Wednesday.
“It should be understandably clear that the time frame of such contract has elapsed and needs to be renewed,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, the council authority also advised all contractors seeking their renewal or potential contractors who are willing to collect revenue for and on behalf of the Local Government council to approach the appropriate authority immediately, saying law enforcement agencies have been adequately briefed.
