Akpovwovwo Bags Award Of Exemplary Services To Humanity 

.. Says DTHA Is Satisfied With Oborevwori’s Performance

The Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpovwovwo, has stated that the house of assembly was satisfied with the implementation of the MORE agenda by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration.

The deputy speaker stated this on Wednesday in his office when he was bestowed  with an award of honour for his exemplary leadership and services to humanity by the foremost political group in the state, the Integrity Group of Delta state, the MORE agenda and You Matter Charity Foundation ambassadors.

Akpovwovwo who expressed delights on the honour done on him by the Integrity Group said; “the DTHA is here to serve you and we will continue to do that. The Convener and Chairman of the Integrity Group has been a great friend to me even when he was in the opposition party but thank God today, he is now a PDP member.

“Let me thank Integrity Group for taken up the propagation of the programmes and policies of the state government and the state assembly. The governor has good programmes as encapsulated on his MORE agenda – the governor came on board well prepared and as I speak he is on his way inspecting various projects he will commission to mark his one year in office. The assembly is satisfied with the governor so far.”

He however, assured the Integrity Group of his support to the group and to meet up with the commitment and responsibilities expected of him as the patron of the group even as he challenged the group to be above board.

Earlier, the Convener of Integrity Group of Delta state, Dr. Oke Idawene said, the Integrity Group was borne out of the need to fill a void in publicising the MORE agenda and You Matter Charity Foundation of the first family in the state.

According to him; “The deputy speaker Arthur Akpovwovwo, has done great things for the youth in the state generally since he joined politics hence the need to honour him and unveil him as one of our patrons.

“Integrity Group is poised to publicise programmes and policies of the executive, the legislature and that of the judiciary under the MORE agenda of governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration to all the nook and cranny of Delta state and beyond.

“Deputy speaker sir, let it be on record that this recognition is being bestowed on you because you are a resilient, focused and a committed leader. We present to you an award of honour for your exemplary leadership and services to humanity, congratulations sir.”
