Best Model School Holds 9th Biannual Inter-house Sports Competition

Best Model International School Warri held her 9th biannual Interhouse sports competition on Thursday, 7th March, 2024.
The chairman of the event, Chief Pedro Idjagun in his brief speech stated among other things that parents should contribute meaningfully towards the sporting activities of their children.
The Director of Studies of the famous school, Evangelist Peter Ighoakpokrire in his welcome address , asserted that life is full of competitions and challenges and that a healthy attitude is a factor of victory.

“Sports competition also prepares young children to face challenges with the right attitude, celebrating victory and handling defeats with despair.
“They also socialize, carry out team work successfully and develop the spirit of sportsmanship, ” he added.
Ighoakpokrire explained that the understanding of the benefits of sports activities in the development of children, compelled the school to students and pupils maximum support in sports activities.
“I must confess that the management of this noble institution has always provided the right prescription, both financial and moral support to douse the tension usually associated with organizing athletic events,” he stated.
The Director of Studies, Best Model International Schools applauded and appreciated teachers and staff of their huge contributions towards the development of sports in the school as he stated they remained his source of strength and therefore proud of them.
He also proudly and gladly informed that students and pupils of his school had distinguished themselves in various invitations for athletic competitions over the years.
” My dream for them goes beyond that, I look forward to a time when these potential young athletes dynamites will explode at international competitions” he added.
The event featured march past, field and track events.
High point of the event was the presentation of throphies and medals to winners by the chairman of the event, Chief Pedro Idjagun.
Red, blue, yellow and green houses came 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th positions respectively.
