UNIDEL Receives More Kudos For Establishment Of lka Language Research Center

The lka Language Development Union ( Otu ldonkwaman Asusu lka) has commended the Management of University of Delta Agbor for the establishment of lka Language Research Centre.

The Secretary of the Union, Mr Okurinma Silva, made the commendation in a speech he delivered on behalf of the Union during a courtesy call on the Management of the institution on Friday, 5th April, 2024.

The scribe disclosed that some of the aims/ objectives of the union include, organizing seminars and workshops for teachers in lka land,organize proficiency course and quiz competitions for learners of lka Language,provide a platform for uniformity in the various dialects of lka Language for needful development. as well as publish books and journals for teaching and learning lka Language.

The Union noted that with the establishment of the lka Research Centre, there need to work with the management of Unidel for the collective good of the people

He added that developing lka Language has been the dream of the Union and expressed hope that it will be actualized.

The Union also commended UNIDEL Management for the speedy growth of the institution within three years

The Vice Chancellor, Prof Stella Chiemeke appreciated the Union for the visit and its readiness to contribute its quota towards the growth and development of lka Language.

She assured the Union that their requests would be looked into accordingly.
