Abraka, Mosogar, Others To Experience Blackout From Saturday

Oasis Magazine reports that the Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC, will commence a two-week power outage from tomorrow, 4th-17th May, 2024.
According to the Regional Head, Sapele, Mr Friday Okosun, during an interview with journalists on Friday in Abraka, the reason for the outage is as a result of the erection of two(2) towers Turn-in and Turn-out towers, adding that the breaking and restringing of the various feeders Abraka (Umutu, Obiaruku axis) 33kv Mosogar (Jesse, Sapele) 33kv, Adeje 33kv, industrial 33kv and Wood land were part of the reasons for the outage.

Meanwhile, the Head, Branding and Cooperate Communication, Mrs Evelyn Gbiwen, called on BEDC costumers to help protect their transformers to avoid theft.
