Ogedegbe Commissions Constituency Projects In Abraka

The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Chief Hon. Augustine Usinefe Ogedegbe (JP), on Monday, December 22, 2025, inaugurated and commissioned constituency projects executed across DSIEC Ward 2, Abraka.

The projects, which include modern toilet and water facilities, were approved by the Council Chairman and executed by the Councillor representing DSIEC Ward 2 in the Ethiope East Legislative Arm, Hon. Noble Council Ogboru.

The newly completed 3-unit modern toilet and water facility at Abraka Model Primary School stands as one of the major projects delivered under this initiative to address the long-standing sanitation and convenience challenges faced by the pupils and staff.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Ogedegbe commended Ogboru for his dedication, proactive leadership, and commitment to delivering quality democratic dividends to the people of his ward.

He noted that the Councillor has demonstrated outstanding representation and has justified the trust reposed in him by the people.

The Chairman further remarked that Hon. Ogboru remains a shining example of purposeful and impactful grassroots leadership.

The Council Chairman urged the host community and school authorities to take ownership of government projects in their areas, emphasizing that completed projects belong to the people and must be protected and maintained.

“A project remains a government project only during construction. Once completed and inaugurated, it becomes a community project. I therefore urge you all to safeguard and protect every government infrastructure in your communities,” he said.

Hon. Ogedegbe also appreciated the communities for their continuous support and cooperation, calling on them to sustain their backing for ongoing development efforts.

The event attracted councillors, community leaders, party stakeholders, and residents who expressed gratitude to the leadership of Ethiope East Local Government for its people-oriented development initiatives.
