Sanitation To Hold Saturday In Delta
Delta State Government has said that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for the month of May will hold on Saturday, 25th May, 2024 between the hours of 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m.
Theresa Adiabua Oliko, Director of Public Communication/Functioning Permanent Secretary, said this on Thursday in a special government announcement.

According to the statement, “there will be no restriction of movement due to the Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination slated for the same day.”
Adding: “Nevertheless, the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr Ejiro Jamani advised residents to cut overgrown weeds, desilt their drainages and keep their environment clean to prevent the spread of diseases, as it is the responsibility of all residents to clean 20 metres radius of their premises.”
She continued: “Officials of the Delta State Waste Management Board, local government councils and other relevant authorities will evacuate the resultant waste to approved dump sites.”
