Against the backdrop of an alleged political exclusion of Warri Urhobos in the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) in Warri South Local Government Area, a PDP Warri South Local Government Council chairmanship aspirant in the last PDP primaries, Deacon Ejiro Ibuakevwe has appealed for unity among PDP Warri Urhobo leaders.
Ibuakevwe made the appeal in a media interaction with our correspondent in Warri at the weekend.
Ibuakevwe who is the Oghwuvwie ( President) of Agbarha Warri community in Warri South Local Government Area expressed fear that the existence of two PDP Warri Urhobo groups of PDP Warri Urhobos and PDP Warri Urhobo Political Class has militated against the political advancement of Warri Urhobos in PDP in Warri South Local Government Area and indeed Delta State.
“A house that is divided against itself cannot stand.

“The need to agitate for our rights in PDP Warri South Local Government Area cannot be over emphasized.
“It is not too late. We shall get there. But this can only be possible if we are united in the agitation.
“There are still other lucrative positions in the local government council.
“But I am afraid these positions will continue to elude us if we are not united,” he stated.
Ibuakevwe then appealed to leaders of the said PDP Warri Urhobo groups to listen to the voice of reasoning by coming together as one in the overall interest of the Urhobos of Warri.
