Prominent Okpe Son Emerges DELSU SUG President

A prominent Okpe son, Onovughegor Augustine popularly known as Onos Austin, has emerged the new Students’ Union Government (SUG) President, in Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka.
The students’ community in DELSU erupted in joyous celebrations as the 500-level Medicine and Surgery student, was declared the new president on Tuesday.
The student community hailed Onos Austin’s victory as a significant success for student unionism on campus.
They referred to him as the “last man standing” and celebrated his impressive track record in various leadership positions.

Prior to his SUG presidency, Onos Austin had served as a Barrister on campus, a two-time faculty senator in the SUG, the faculty president of the Delta State University Medical Students’ Association (DUMSA), the Nigeria Medical Students Association (NiMSA) Caucus Chairman for the South-South region, and the President of the National Association of Delta State Medical and Dental Students (NADEMS).
He also held the prestigious position of Chairman of the Presidential Forum at DELSU.
Onos Austin’s name has become synonymous with student leadership and development at the university.
The entire student body expressed their elation and pride over his hard-earned victory, cementing his status as a household name among the DELSU community.
