Ajede Meets Traditional.Rulers In Ukwuani LGA
Earlier today, the Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government, Hon (Barr) C.S Possible Ajede, held a closed-door meeting with the Ukwuani Traditional Rulers Council in his office.
The meeting was centered on how the nine (9) clans can partner with the government to strengthen the security architecture, encourage strategic intelligence gathering and surveillance within Ukwuani communities to contain criminal activities and particularly the menace of Fulani herders.
Containing indiscriminate open grazing, attacks, and alleged kidnappings associated with the activities of Hausa/Fulani herders also formed part of the extensive discussion.
While addressing the revered Ukwuani traditional rulers, Barr Ajede appreciated them for holding forth with the Acting Chairman before he resumed office for his second term. He also highlighted some of his strategic peace and security initiatives under the #DoMoreAgenda to the community leaders.
The Chief Security Officer of the local government stressed that security is the responsibility of every citizen. He therefore called on the traditional rulers, community youth groups, women’s associations, the church, and all security networks within the LGA to join hands with his administration, as they have always done, to make Ukwuani safe for all.
