The biological son of the Governor of the defunct Midwestern Region, Warri based legal luminary, Uyomeyoma Kingsley Mariere has appealed for better treatment from Edo and Delta states for his late father, Chief Samuel Jereton Mariere (of blessed memory).
The former Vice Chairman of Nigeria Bar Association ( NBA ,) Warri branch made the appeal in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent at his law chamber along Airport Road, Ugboroke, Uvwie Local Government Area on Monday, 26th August, 2024.
Mariere who was a one time member of Delta State Local Government Council elections tribunal, proudly recalled that his late father contributed immensely to the growth and development of the then Midwestern Region as the governor of the area, comprising Edo and Delta states.

Mariere who is the Chairman of Urhobo Political Movement (UPM) explained that the appeal was necesisited by the non response of the two states to the 50th memorial service in 2021 inspite of the invitation given to them.
He had earlier lauded Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for the appointment of his younger newphew, Hon Olorogun Samuel Mariere in administration and developmental strides as he specifically hailed Governor Oborevwori for the ongoing flyover projects in Uvwie Local Government Area.
The legal icon then urged Deltans to pray and support Governor Oborevwori for a second tenure.
