Delta South Senator Backs Creation Of Anioma State
Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas representing Delta South Senatorial District has lent a huge voice to the bill for the creation of Anioma State.
Joel-Onowakpo in a post on his official X handle on Thursday posited that the creation of an Anioma State, will birth a truly Delta State apart from resolving the imbalance of states in the South-East geo-political zone of Nigeria.
He wrote: “As the senator representing Delta South senatorial district, I have followed with keen interest and I support the bill being sponsored by my colleague Sen Ned Nwoko for the creation of Anioma State in the ongoing constitutional amendment.

“The creation of the Anioma State will resolve the imbalance of States in South East geo political zone.
“It is also important to note that, the creation of Anioma State, will give way to the creation of a truly Delta State with the headquarters to be sited in a centrally acceptable place,” just as he urged every Nigerian to support the creation of Anioma State.
