DISNA: Edo Finance Commissioner Congratulates Lucy Okena On Her Nomination

Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Edo State, Mrs. Adaze Aguele-Kalu (FCA, FCCA, MBA, FNIM), has congratulated Mrs. Lucy Erhire Eguono Okena (Nee Efurhievwe) B.Sc., MBF, JP, FCA, on her nomination as one of the recipients for the Distinguished Nigerian Awards, DISNA, presented by Oasis Magazine.
In a congratulatory message dated 17th October, 2024, the government official, said: “My hearty congratulations to you, my sister, and my professional colleague on a well-deserved DISNA 2024 Award. Your selection attests to the fact that you have successfully put in many years of hard work and commitment into your professional career and to the tenets and values of the Society at large.
“As a Council member of ICAN and member of the Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria, I am confident that you will bring consolidation to the laudable achievements from this opportunity and get to greater heights using this platform”.
“Accept my warmest felicitations on this remarkable achievement and continued success in promoting excellence and contributing to the development of our great Body and nation,” she concluded.
Lucy Okena is a seasoned accountant and financial expert who has used her wealth of experience to better the lot of many tertiary institutions, especially the Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai, Asaba where she currently serves as the Deputy Bursar of the University.

She was elected as a member of the ICAN Governing Council in 2022.
Mrs. Lucy Okena, is an indigene of Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government.
The presentation of the award to Mrs. Okena and 18 others will hold on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Opal Event Center, Along Jesus Saves Road, Asaba, Delta State.
