Dr Akpoveta Joins DELCOM 2024 As Trainer

Dean, School of Information and Communication Technology, ICT, Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwuashi-Uku, Dr Emmanuel Akpoveta, will attend the 5th edition of Delta State Communication Workshop, DELCOM 2024 as a Trainer.

State Workshop Facilitator and Director General, Delta State Bureau of Communications and Orientation, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, in a statement on Wednesday said Akpoveta is a renowned communication scholar, prolific writer, social commentator, and author of many text books on mass communication and Journalism.

Dr Akpoveta will join Prof Abigail Ogwezzy-Ndisika of the University of Lagos, and Prof Joyce Ogwezi, of Dennis Osadebey University Asaba, to train 150 participants, including media aides to Delta State Governor, during the 3-Day capacity building and professional skills development program, scheduled to hold from Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19th December 2024 at Hotel Benizia, Asaba.

“He holds a PhD in Mass Communication, and had delivered lectures on multifaceted issues in Nigeria and overseas,” Oghenesivbe said.
