Rivers Assembly Speaker Participates In Abuja Meeting Of Conference Of Speakers
The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule , on Thursday, participated in the meeting of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, held at BON Hotel, Abuja.
The gathering brought together esteemed Speakers of the various State Legislative Houses across the country to deliberate on pressing legislative matters with a view to fostering greater collaboration among the States.

The Conference of Speakers serves as a crucial platform for promoting inter-parliamentary solidarity, legislative best practices, and the harmonization of legislative agenda across Nigeria. Over the years, the body has played significant role in strengthening unity among State Houses of Assembly and influencing public policy directions for the betterment of Nigerian citizens.
Rt. Hon. Amaewhule, who has been a regular participant alongside his colleagues since his emergence as Speaker of the Tenth Rivers State House of Assembly in June, 2023, was again on ground in Abuja, and actively engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of legislative institutions in addressing governance challenges and advancing democratic ideals at the State level.
