Delta Governor’s Aide, Odjighoro Roles Out 5 Rounds Of Empowerment Initiative To PDP Faithful In Kokori

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Chief Abraham Odjighoro has again rolled out the 5th rounds of the Grassroot Empowerment Initiative which was aimed at enhancing the Meaningful Development, Opportunity for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhance Security (MORE), Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in taken the State to greater height.

The 5 rounds of the empowerment which took place at Chief Odjighoro’s residence in Kokori community, Ethiope East LGA, of Delta State gathered many PDP stakeholders in Ethiope East LGA, such as PDP Chairman, Ethiope East, Hon. Midwest Iboyitete, Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, Leader of PDP Ethiope East, Chief Bernard Edewor, former Federal lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Sunny Emeyese, PDP Chairman, ward 6, Kokori, Chief Felix Oniakukor, President General (PG) of Kokori Progress Union (KPU), Chief Joseph Aghwute, Leader of Ethiope East Legislative Arm, Hon. Emmanuel Emojeya and others witnessed the event.

In his welcome speech before the event, the Governor’s aide, said this is the fifth round of the Grassroot Empowerment Initiative and the empowerment programme has come to stay, adding that ten (10), persons will be giving the cash support of one hundred thousand naira (#100,000) each as usual.

Continuing, he said this empowerment initiative is aimed at promoting and enhancing the M.O.R.E agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in taken the State to greater heights.

He continued: “I am also doing this to encourage members of PDP in the ward to work hard for the party to grow from strenght to strenght.”

He said, “this cash empowerment to be being giving out to you is not for you to misuse it but for you to use it for small scale business to generate income for you,” just as he assured that he will continue to do this.

He called on the beneficiaries to be focused and dedicated to the party PDP at all times.

Speaking further, Chief Odjighoro equally commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his massive developmental strides across the State, assuring that the people of PDP ward 6 Kokori come 2027, would vote again for Governor Sheriff to continue his good works in the State till 2031.

On their parts, the Deputy Speaker of DTHA, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, PDP. Chairman, Ethiope East Hon. Midwest Iboyitete, PDP leader, Ethiope East, Chief Bernard Edewor, former Federal lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Sunny Emeyese, PDP chairman ward 6 Kokori, Chief Felix Oniakukor, ward 6 PDP woman leader, Madam Ufuoma Umurhurhu who spoke, commended Chief Odjighoro for the initiative, calling on the beneficiaries to make proper use of the kind gesture.

Meanwhile, the Otota of Kokori Community (Prime minister) Chief Albert Akpomudje, who spoke on behalf of the ten (10), beneficiaries thanked Chief Abraham Odjighoro for the gesture, assuring that they will make proper use of it, and be committed to PDP at all times.
