FG Takes Over National Orthopaedic Hospital Azare As Governor Zulum, Health Minister Sign MOU
The Federal Government has officially taken over the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Azare in Borno State, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Federal and Borno State Governments.
The MoU was signed at the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Headquarters in Abuja. Dr. Iziaq Salako, Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, signed on behalf of the Federal Government, while Governor Babagana Umara Zulum signed for Borno State.
Both parties hailed the agreement as a significant milestone in efforts to expand access to quality tertiary healthcare and to support the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the North-East, which has been severely impacted by insurgency.

Minister of State for Health also announced the establishment of 12 new tertiary health institutions across the country under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
