BECE: DTSG Urges Parents, Guardians To Distance Themselves From Exam Centres

As the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for both public and private secondary schools in Delta State begins tomorrow, Monday, June 16, parents and guardians as well as members of the public, who do not have in the conduct of the examination have been advised to desist from any of the examination centres for their own good or risky being arrested.

According to a statement from the Functioning Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Daniel Akiri, on behalf of the State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, the Ministry had put all measures in place to ensure smooth conduct of the BECE examination across the State.

The statement emphasized that the Ministry would not tolerate the presence of parents and guardians within the premises of the examination, adding that Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education had invited security agents, particularly officers of the Nigerian Police to arrest whoever that would been seen in the examination Centres except its officials, deployed for the conduct of the examination.

It enjoined candidates to abstain from all forms of examination malpractices and wished them success in the examination.
