BREAKING: Delta CP Orders Immediate Deployment Of Tactical Teams To Various Points In Abraka

In response to a recent surge in violent crimes in Abraka, Ethiope East, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda has deployed well-equipped tactical teams to restore peace and public confidence in the area.

SP Bright Edafe, Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, saying that “this decision follows growing concerns from residents and an influx of reports circulating across the internet and various social media platforms highlighting the deteriorating security situation in the community.”

According to the statement, “the Command acknowledges the public’s anxiety and assures citizens that proactive and decisive measures are being taken.”

“To this end, the CP directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, DCP Aina Adesola to supervise the deployment of tactical teams to Abraka. In compliance with this directive, deployments of combat operatives were drawn from Dragon Patrol, Safer Highway Patrol, Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and State Anti-Cult Unit (SACU),” the Police PRO in the state said.

Adding: “Their mandate covers day-and-night patrols, strategic checkpoints, and intelligence-driven policing to ensure that all suspected kidnappers and armed robbers carrying out these nefarious activities are arrested and brought to justice.”

The police spokesman continued: “The CP reaffirms and assures residents in the state of the Command’s commitment to providing security for all and ensuring that the entire state is safe. He further urges members of the public to desist from spreading unverified information that may cause panic, and instead use the official command’s emergency lines to report suspicious activity. Citizens are also encouraged to remain calm, go about their lawful business while monitoring their environment, and cooperate fully with law enforcement personnel.”
