NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau, Officially Assumes WAFU Zone B Leadership

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON), has formally taken office as the new President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B this week Monday.
The official handover ceremony took place on Monday at the WAFU headquarters located in the Cocody Rivera 4 district of Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Gusau’s elevation to the WAFU Zone B top seat follows the election of Mr. Kurt-Edwin Simeon Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association, into the CAF Executive Committee during the CAF Congress held in Egypt on March 12, 2025. Okraku has since been appointed as the 2nd Vice President of CAF.
With this development, Gusau will oversee football affairs across the WAFU Zone B region, which includes Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger, Benin Republic, and Togo.
