Ethiope East Council Chairman Nominated For 2025 Local Government Merit Award

The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Augustine Ogedegbe JP, has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 Local Government Merit Award.
This national recognition draws nominees from Local Government Areas across Nigeria, with Delta State recording seven (7) nominations across various categories.
A statement by the Press Unit, Office of the Executive Chairman, Ethiope East Local Government Council, while reacting, said Hon. Ogedegbe’s nomination is a testament to his outstanding leadership, impactful governance, and dedication to grassroots development in Ethiope East.
The Local Government Merit Awards celebrate excellence in local governance across several key development sectors, including Rural Electrification Provision, Agriculture, Potable Water Supply, Rural Health Care Delivery, Security, Education, Poverty Alleviation and Women Development.

Other areas are Sports Development, Transportation, Housing, and Road and Rural Integration.
According to the statement, “Hon. Ogedegbe’s administration has continued to champion initiatives that promote infrastructural development, socio-economic empowerment, and sustainable growth within Ethiope East, making this nomination a well-deserved acknowledgment of his efforts.”
